Adam, Matt and Richard first met while studying at Cardiff University, and quickly became firm friends. Since they met the three have shared many memorable moments both home and abroad.

Matt and Richard graduated a year after Adam having opted to do a professional training year. While Matt and Richard continued to bury themselves in the books during their final year, Adam was working in South Africa with meerkats. The three met up there once the terrors of the final exams were over.

Matt now has a Ph.D. in marine biology and works as a marine ecologist. Richard is the biodiversity and conservation officer for the Countryside Council for Wales for the Vale of Glamorgan and Adam is studying for a Ph.D. at Cardiff University.

Although the three are scattered across the country (and occasionally the globe!), they get together on a regular basis to embark on a number of photographic trips.

Over the past few years, Earth in Focus images have excelled in a number of international photographic competitions, been printed in books, magazines and newspapers around the world and been used to promote the valuable work of national and international conservation organisations - see our individual biographies for more details.
